A little bit about Mark Grant Woodcraft
I have lived in Scotland my whole life, and I try to source all my materials as locally as possible. The wood I purchase all comes from Scotland, sourced sustainably. The resin I use is also from the UK and of the highest standards. My personal workshop is in Edinburgh located near to where I live. I love making tables in particular, and become engrossed in the job when developing my ideas and bringing them into a reality. Every item that goes on sale from my workshop undergoes detailed scrutiny, and if I’m not completely satisfied, it does not go on sale.
I remember every piece I make. I try to involve the customer in the commission as much as I can to produce individual pieces of furniture that are tailor made. There are huge variations a customer can choose from, the table dimensions, type of wood, colour of the resin river, and effect of river. I don’t over complicate the colour pallet when selecting choice of a river; however I can come very close to matching an exact colour for a room. I have designed river tables to compliment a customer’s artwork hanging on the wall of the same room as the furniture in the past.
I can match colours in the rivers to your home. I can also make matching coasters and personalised serving boards. I have been working with resin in river tables and coffee tables since 2018 and have the craft down to a fine art. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
